The models striding down the runway at Herve Leger would look equally at home strolling along an exotic beach, wearing sleek selections from a Spring 2015 collection that marks a departure from the norm.
"The collection is completely a new trend," says designer Max Azria, "A shorter dress... Colorful... Pink, orange, off-white, yellow, light blue."
"[I] love the colors, different metallic effects, the swimsuit...I mean, absolutely in love," gushes model Petra Nemcova -- with the swimsuit in question, a glimmering yellow one-piece with generous cutouts.
Powerful patterns, daring cuts and gleaming metallics made a strong impression, embellished with linear details resembling radiant reflective tape.
How to balance the bold look...? Keeping the beauty palette neutral, as Gina Edwards, Lead Manicurist for Morgan Taylor, explains, "The look today is a milky beige nail...we did a layering process, so what it does [is] it adds a little whiteness and brightness to the nail, and then you'll have that milky beige look."
Completing the perfect look to be whisked away in...simple, matte makeup. Says Makeup Artist Val Garland, "We've been inspired by all things Japanese, so it's beautiful, gorgeous skin, brushed-up eyebrows, a matte lip, a matte black eye, and lovely dewy skin."
