Caroline Issa is the Fashion Director of Tank Magazine, the designer of her own line (sold at Nordstrom) and a renowned street-style star. The Canadian-born fashion icon knows what she likes (think double-sided cashmere coats) and isn't afraid to pass along her advice to keep the rest of us warm, cozy and of course, chic.
1. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize
"I love a belt," says Issa. It cinches in the waist, giving a feminine silhouette. With a tailored jacket a belt is great to give a little bit of shape."
2. Incorporate the runway trends into your daily wardrobe
"I think it's getting easier to incorporate them...there are styling tricks that the runway can inspire you with. Also, when you show individual pieces on the runway, there's lots of different ways to incorporate them."
3. Trends Matter
"Look for things that keep you warm but also make you feel beautiful," says the fashion guru. Invest in of-the-moment hats (think berets, a la Rihanna), long tassle earrings, ponchos and anything plaid.
