Lacoste stays true to it's sporty roots delivering serious fashion game; color blocking and high tech outerwear score major points.

"Well, we're seeing the beginnings of a return to tailoring and a lot of black. So where we had been seeing a lot of jewel tones for last fall right now were are seeing a real return to black and layering and darker colors," says Brandon Holly, Fashion Editor, Lucky.

The mens and womenswear included black ... often paired with brights in the lining of a coat, for example, or full on contrasting. Textures were also played against one another ... a leather sleeve with a softer fabric elsewhere.

Orange bursts into the collection and futuristic rain gear js anything but dry. Lacoste doesn't get too dressy but there are skirt suits for serious occasions.

But patterns are the real winners -- a chic grey and white camo also appears on dresses, skirts and pants.

The French sportswear brand has little to worry about when it comes to competition.
