Louise Roe gives Instant Gratification to Fashion Fans through Instagram

The fashion journalist offers tips on health, beauty and how to shop the runway faster than ever

Thanks to social media, the days of fashion trends being dictated by designers are over. And not only do today's fashion followers want a say in what they'll be wearing next season -- they want the looks they love to walk right off the runway and into their closets faster than ever before.

Of social media's shake-up to the fashion landscape, renowned Fashion Journalist Louise Roe agrees, "It's up to the consumer, and the reader, and the fan on Instagram...they're dictating the trends and what's big, and they're demanding to get those pieces immediately."

Speaking of those fans on Instagram, Roe proudly counts herself among them, encouraging her fellow fashionistas to shop the runway along with her on Instagram. "I'll be snapping [photos of] my favorite pieces, uploading [to Instagram], and then you can buy it immediately off the runway...so cool!"

And looking your best goes further than fashion -- health and beauty can't fall by the wayside. Roe's formula for staying in shape? "I do a lots of Reformer Pilates, actually," shares Roe, "And I eat an avocado every day. I am obsessed."

When it comes to beauty, Roe could give a primer on primer. "A lot of us forget to put it on underneath our foundation, and it holds everything in place," she says. What else will you find in Roe's makeup bag? "I always have blotting paper because it gets away shine," Roe says, adding, "Mary Kay lip balm and a bit of blush."
