Nanette Lepore takes a trip to Mars this fall and the fashions are out of this world.

"Fall is exciting. It's our relaunch of shoes and handbags. I was inspired by the Rover photographs they were sending back and will it become a place we actually go to. And if you are going what will you pack in your suitcase!?"

Black with some far out shine makes the list. Moon boots? Nope. But glowy stilettos and hefty handbags get the green light.

"We have these fabulous hologram shoes and handbags that really glow. So it's like a new form of galactic metallic," says Lepore.

Lepore's knack for new is not an alien concept to her followers.

"Her clothes are always ... ya know ... they're breathtaking. First of all, I love her as a woman. She's a beautiful, remarkable woman and I think therefore she makes great clothes. And it's that simple," says actress, Patricia Clarkson.

Black and gold combinations like jackets and short skirts also make sci fi sense to Lepore.

Even this former Soprano thinks the designer hits a high note -- maybe because she keeps it all grounded with solid olive pieces in the Mars mix.

"I only go to Nanette Lepore, " said actor Steve Buscemi.

From actors to gymnasts, Aly Raisman is doing back flips over the designer's planet-inspired palette.

"I like a lot of the really simple colors. There's a lot of greens and reds and I think that's really beautiful and really elegant."

One turquoise pattern on the runway looks like craters on the moon but the model's hair dos are shiny and smooth.

"We have two looks on the girls - the look that's up is basically two ponytails one on top and one on the side pf the head. And the other look is kind of variation on a low ponytail," says Hair Stylist, James Pecis

Make-up is also a must-have on Mars...

"Two spot here .. two points .. and the girl smudges with finger .. it's like softness and hardness together in a way," says Max Delforme, Makeup Artist.

All dressed up and no where to go -- all you need is a date with an astronaut.
