NYFW Spring 2014 / Tracy Reese: Cuban Chic
Havana never looked hotter than at the Tracy Reese show, just ask actress Meghan Markle

Cuban chic is the theme at the Tracy Reese show. The African-American designer takes elements from hip, hot Havana and infuses them into a tropical collection.
"It's pretty exciting to see here my second show first fashion week ever," says actress, Meghan Markle of "Suits".
But no straight suits at this show -- with a live Cuban band playing in the background, models dance down the runway in wild colors, patterns and embellishments. Reese's signature femininity is in full swing with lots of full skirts.
It certainly gets hot in Caribbean countries, that explains the cropped tops and capri pants. The less fabric, the cooler you look and feel.
Dresses are also short but with very tall knee height gladiator sandals peeking out underneath. Chocolate browns temper blue hues.
But there isn't much tempering going on --- big straw hats and scarves are loud and proud. And one very unexpected accessory: temporary tattoos on a bevy of body parts!
