Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week spring 2014 turns out trends for next season. Here are the biggest runway looks from the eye of editors at Cosmopolitan, Harper's Baazar, Vogue and more!

So, what trends translated across the tents?
"I think the common ground so far...is color and joy," says Cosmopolitan's editor-in-chief, Joanna Coles.
Next season's hot color or lack there of, is white says Chioma Nnadi, Vogue fashion writer. So far, color wise we've seen a lot of optic white," says Nnadi, "a lot of crisp, crisp white."
Other understated tones are making a statement on the runway as well. Executive editor at Style.com, Nicole Phelps says she spotted "more subtle and washed out colors, like sea foam, almost chalky pastels."
Although the hues might be soft the catwalk styles are sporty.
"Sport influences are pretty big, especially tennis," says Cindy Weber Cleary, fashion director at InStyle.
Tennis skirts, track pants, mesh, crop tops dominated the fashion week scene.
"Cropped tops are going really strong," says People Stylewatch editor, Susan Kaufman,"Women are going to have to be working on their abs big time."
Another thing women should be working on for next season is their shoe game. The selection of footwear is diverse for spring says Cleary, "it seems to be a mix of shoe... there are some platforms, then some sexy shoes."
A shoe style to watch out for? "I think the mule will be a big shoe, that shape will be really strong next season," says Phelps.
Working on up--major makeup trends show face.
"Backstage the inspiration is easy, summer," says Aretha Busby, beauty director at Essence.
And agrees the "no beauty, beauty look" says Phelps "Really undone and you know maybe a little bit of sculpting on the cheek but otherwise pretty bare face."
However, the ever-popular red lip takes on new and bold alternatives like a "hot orange or a really bright neon pink lip," says Nnadi.
As for hair, Allure's editor-in-chief, Linda Wells says "a lot of very greasy hair. Oily hair that is stuck to the head."
Slicked back ponytails and braids are also show-stopping styles. "I always think that looks really.... sophisticated for summer," says Harper's Bazaar's editor-in-chief, Glenda Bailey.
Don't forget to add your own flare to your fashion week favorites.
"I think it's all about taking pieces you like from the runway, not necessary the whole look and translating it back into how you would wear it," says Amanda Miller, Women's Fashion Editor, Saks.
