J. Mendel harnessed the Jazz Age's burnout velvet, warm, refined hues and micro-pleated dresses for his Spring 2018 collection. "The colors were inspired by water color paintings from the '30's," said the designer, referring to the refined apricot, pale teal and rose dust hues seen throughout. "It's a romantic look that's ready to go to a party. In the times we are living in now we need a little bit of a party." Plush furs, tulle gowns and his famous impeccable craftsmanship rounded out his presentation.
