Pamella Roland's take on 70s Paris is a super sexy departure

She took us to Kyoto for Spring 2015 and for Fall, Pamella Roland takes us to Paris with sleek satiny coats, gorgeous gowns and sexy suede boots stretching high up the thigh in a collection hot enough to thaw even this arctic New York Fashion Week's most frigid fashionistas.
"The inspiration is early 70s Paris," explains Designer Pamella Roland, "So lots of great boots. Obviously there [are] great gowns but there [are] some really great coats. You'll see our hair and makeup is Brigitte Bardot looks."
In keeping with the collection, Hair Stylist Ted Gibson created a sultry textured bedhead. "I wanted to create this kind of illusion that is a little bit more roughed up, a little bit sexier," says Gibson, "And that's what's cool about this particular look is that it's not about a freshly polished blowout when you go to a salon. It's really about creating something in your hair that looks like you just had sex."
And the color palette itself was a highlight with rich vibrant seasonal hues in full force throughout. "Lots of great colors for Fall," says Roland, "The plums and burgundies and golds and olives. And lots of great embellishments. And we even have a fur poncho."
Photographer Nigel Barker found the sensual collection surprising, in the best way. "It is gorgeous, it is stunning. It's super sexy, which is a little unusual for Pamella, perhaps a little more risqu."
Wherever Pamella Roland takes us next season, we're already on board...
