Prabal Gurung did a design collaboration with Target and had women across America clamoring to get a piece of his limited collection. His runway show at New York Fashion Week packs the same excitement.
"He started out with great hand knit sweaters, chunky, textures over these fragile whisky skirts," says Virginia Smith, Vogue Accessories Editor.
It's not just the clothes on the catwalk that are exciting ... it's the sideshow.
"Then there was a streaker. A half time streaker that sort of livened things up," giggled Smith.
The models were very well dressed.
"The second part was great deconstructed jackets with skinny pants and skirts. Really beautiful," says Smith.
Gurung rocks shades of red for fall.
"I loved his use of color. Dark reds, pinks and going into rusts. It was a very beautiful combination," gushes Alexis Bryan Morgan Editor Lucky Magazine.
Like many other collections this past week -- the beauty story is: keep it simple -- a great balance with Gurung's cool and complicated construction.
"Hair is straight I haven't seen any texture in the hair," Kate Dimmock, People Stylewatch Editor.
