Christian Siriano takes us back in time next fall and does it with a lot of sparkle.
"I love Christian he's a very dear friend and I love his clothes," says model Lydia Hearst.
Slinky silver floor length gowns and other metallic numbers are topped off with wide brim floppy hats.
"I wanted my woman to look like Lisa Fonssagrives and how her style evolved from the late 50s to early 60s,"
At Derek Lam it's all about roomy tops, sloping shoulders and blanketing the body.
"I think people are longing now for much more natural like big chunky knits. It's this sort of idea of being cozy and warm and comfortable so I'm sure we're going to be seeing more of that," says Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief of Harper's Bazaar.
Walking all over the accessories competition, Tracy Reese kicks things up a notch with fabulous footwear.
"I saw a lot of trends that I am seeing this week. A lot of sparkle. The boots with the ostrich feather in the back was amazing and the gold boots were also pretty phenomenal," says Aretha Busby of Essence Magazine.
Thakoon brings bold color under the bright lights of the runway. Sweaters have big lifesaver stripes, florals come in bright blue and a royal raspberry define the collection.
"I was really feeling altering textures, like cozy things, like knit textures a bit more rustic," says the designer.
He shifts into neutral when it comes to beauty touches on his models.
"The nails were more mushroomy color to tone it down a bit. The clothing was so bright we just wanted something to ground it," says Thakoon.
