The Trends: Spin the Color Wheel for Fall 2013
The fall 2013 collections of Boy Meets Girl, Jenny Packham and Nanette Lepore spin the color wheel in different directions.
"I actually have pops of color like the red and the blue and this amethyst pink color and we've got accents in my young girls line that has the Spice Girl influence of the neons and greens and yellows. So, you will see the evolution of the brand and the music infused and what it does to the collection," says Stacy Igel, Designer.
From loud colors to a softer palette at Jenny Packham including shiny black and champagne tones.
"It's inspired by the salons of the mid 17th century where all the very intellectual literary women would get together and express their views and cultivate their ideas. So, very much taking the sort of mood of that and the colors .. rich colors .. we are trying to get the spirit of that woman," says Designer Jenny Packham.
Dresses are creamy white, blood red and gray. But leave it to Nanette Lepore to rocket color to another level --
"I was inspired by the rover photographs and the idea of Mars and will it become a place we'll actually go to one day and if you're going what's going in your suitcase!? So we have these fabulous hologram shoes and handbags that really glow so it's like a new form of like galactic metallic," says Nanette Lepore.
So whether you're planning space travel next fall or a trip to the grocery store -- there's a hue for you.
