Zero + Maria Cornejo Go Metro for Fall 2013
Chilean designer Maria Cornejo gives the Metropolitan woman what she wants this fall - rich color, flattering prints and black.
"I wanted things to be very clean, very clear, for me it started with trying to slow down time and just focus on the things that are really essential because I think everything is very throw away right now," Maria Cornejo, designer.
Polished prints come in combinations of blue and grey. Leather is also a leading look .. skinny and loose pants.
"So all the prints are taken from digitize pixel images and it's like working with scale and trying to capture some of that craftsmanship and people appreciating fabric and texture," said Maria Cornejo, Designer.
The beauty buzz at Cornejo is sophisticated and sleek pulled back hair.
"The clothes are quite layered so we are going to keep it simple but not boring. By doing a nice zig zag parting. Simple but strong," Martin Cullen, Hair Stylist.
And when it comes to makeup healthy faces beamed above fur necklines.
"The look for Zero is very very glossy dewey and fresh. Maria wanted the girls to glow. And then there is this little blunt graphic line in kind of a cobalt navy blue and a little bit of mascara and that's it," Makeup Artist, Romy Soleimani.
But Maria Cornejo doesn't take tailoring lightly -- skirts fall comfortably over the hips because a Metropolitan woman keeps it moving.
