When it comes to back to school shopping, think beyond the backpack. Nicole Feliciano, Editor of momtrends.com, shares All You Magazine's must-haves to keep your kids healthy this school year.
Allergy season isn't just in the springtime. "It happens both in Spring and Fall," says Nicole, "And my little one's skin definitely gets dry patches and redness, and it can be really distracting." She recommends Curel Itch Defense Lotion to soothe the irritation so that kids can focus on school, not scratching.
Schools can be filled with bacteria, so Nicole likes to equip her kids with a hand sanitizer. "Burt's Bees has a great one," she says, "It's all-natural, and instead of alcohol, it uses witch hazel." It comes in a convenient size so that kids can easily slip it into their backpacks or lunch boxes and squirt some on before eating lunch to help prevent them from catching early seasonal colds and flus.
There are lots of ways to prevent those unwanted critters. First off, make sure your kids do not share baseball caps and headbands. Nicole says you can also use Babo Botanicals all-natural shampoo and spray made with tea tree oil, rosemary, thyme and mint. Use it in place of your regular shampoo and spritz on a little of the spray to repel lice.
