What boasts more than 3,600 exhibitors, 250 presentations and 160,000 attendees from 140 countries? The 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, an annual event where the best innovators from around the world gather to introduce the next breakthrough technologies poised to make a major mark in the marketplace on a global scale.
Fortunately, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas when it comes to CES, the biggest tech show of the year, as well as one of the largest trade shows in the world. The groundbreaking technology presented at this show is designed to end up in the hands and homes of consumers in the not-so-distant future -- everything from cutting edge media products to 3D printers to wearable gadgets that change the way we manage our daily lives.
Take, for instance, the latest awe-inspiring innovations to your Home Entertainment experience, with OLED display technology in particular creating quite a buzz among conference goers for its absolutely stunning life-like color and perfect black levels to ensure images that really pop.
Tim Alessi of LG Electronics explains, "OLED is the best TV available on the market today and the future of television. It uses infinite black, expanded color gamut and a wide viewing angle so you get a great viewing experience from anywhere in the room."
LG Electronics' entire line of 2015 OLED TVs at CES also feature 4K technology, providing four times the resolution of full HD for the clearest picture available on the market. Adds Alessi, "LG is the first company that's been able to combine 4K resolution and OLED technology. It's unprecedented and it gives an absolutely jaw-dropping picture."
Among the make-your-life-easier innovations getting buzz at CES...the first ever mini washer in the pedestal, also from LG, that transforms the pedestal drawer on front load washers into its own separate washing machine. Dubbed the twin wash system with mini washer, it's designed to save you time by letting you run two laundry loads at once and is perfect for smaller loads of your delicates and bright, bold colors.
As for smartphone aficionados in search of a statement-making upgrade, the new LG G Flex 2 is getting a lot of attention for its unique curved design, full HD display -- not to mention it's among the first to be powered by the new Snapdragon processor.
