When it comes to decorating for the holidays, you don't have to break the bank. HGTV's Sabrina Soto shares easy ways to turn your house into a holiday haven without spending a fortune. One of the places Sabrina likes to tackle first is the dining table. She recommends using your ever day white china and then take it up a notch by layering in festive pieces like a some sparkled chargers, colorful napkins or even different colored wine glasses. A great tip she gives is to use tree ornaments instead of table cards. Just write the name of each person on a bright colored ball and place them at each setting. Another great way to add some holiday cheer.Sabrina also likes to find new and creative places for traditional holiday objects. For example, a wreath which is normally hung on the front door can be placed on top of a mirror, hung on a mantle, or even used as a centerpiece on one of your tables. Just add some candles in the middle and you have your own unique look.Another great tip is to set up a buffet table. Sabrina says don't feel like you have to have a formal sit-down, sometimes space is a constraint. She likes to have a buffet dessert table so people can get up and mingle and enjoy in the sweet treats at their leisure. Sabrina also likes to make goodie bags of fresh ground coffee for her guests to take home so you can pack up some of the dessert leftovers for them and they can enjoy it the next day with their coffee.
