It’s National Pumpkin Day. Looking for a festive way to hand out candy this Halloween? Follow the 6 steps below to make your own holder out of a pumpkin and get creative with your Halloween messages.

1. Draw a circle on your pumpkin

2. Cut along the circle with a pumpkin carving knife

3. Scoop the insides of the pumpkin out

4. Paint the entire outside of pumpkin with black chalk paint and let dry

5. Fill with candy

6. Use chalk to write your Halloween message
