LG Signature presents stylish home appliances and electronics in transparent gallery made entirely of TVs

LG Electronics is celebrating its first-ever, ultra-premium collection of stylish home appliances and electronics. Called LG Signature, it's a traveling gallery that recently stopped at Santa Monica Place in L.A. World-class interior designer Mary McDonald was on hand to give us a tour.

"The key to good design is that it's actually functional, not just form over function," she says. "It's the two, dovetailed, and that's really the key to great designs that last. You've got a high level of technology and function, yet you're not sacrificing form. That's why this line will appeal to the most discerning, visual people."

LG first launched the line with a transparent gallery last month in New York's Rockefeller Center where renowned tastemakers including fashion designer Phillip Lim, Chef Dominique Crenn and choreographer Savion Glover came to celebrate.

"What I like about this series is that it really looks as sleek, modern and edgy as it possibly could," says McDonald, "All these electronic pieces are at the forefront of world technology and world-class design."
