Working from a taut, mysterious script by David Koepp, Presence is a thrilling cinematic ride that cements Soderbergh’s status as an icon of American independent film. It’s also the first of his films to premiere at Sundance since his directorial debut of Sex, Lies, and Videotape in 1989.
