Alice & Olivia Spring 2013: American Girl Gets With The Times
Alice & Olivia's Spring 2013 presentation at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week gave the classic 1950's American Girl, famous for sporty pedal pushers, crop tops and florals, a sexy makeover, complete with bright color-blocking, shiny metallics and sky-high heels.
"I'm a big fan of Stacey's designs. I've worn them for a long time. I just love this collection because it's called American Dream. It's really fun and has everything that I love. That demure American girl--I love her," says Real Housewife Kelly Killoren Bensimon of Alice & Olivia designer Stacey Bendet.
To show her latest collection, Bendet opted for a presentation style format instead of the traditional catwalk. "These guys are always one of my favorites. I love that they're not doing a traditional show. You can just walk around and it's like a museum," said TV Personality Carrie Keagan.
As usual, celebrities and socialites just can't get enough of Alice & Olivia. "It's just really easy to wear. It looks good on everyone. It's ready-to-wear and it's always pretty fashionable and fun," says actress Kaylee Defer. "Stacey's clothes are amazing because they're fun and girlie and flirty, but at the same time they're sophisticated. She makes pieces like these that are black and white or cool leather skirts and adds cool pops of color to make it look even more amazing. Her stuff is really just high quality and gorgeous," said actress Sami Gayle.
