Bright Days Ahead At The Diane Von Furstenberg Spring 2013 Fashion Show
The Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013 fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week was bright, billowing and fit for a modern princess. "What's so great about this collection is the fact that it is all so positive. I really love those beautiful colored silks and those big baggy trousers. I thought that was really pretty and I can see that being featured on the pages of Bazaar," says Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief, Harper's Bazaar.
The line sheet described the dream DVF Spring 2013 girl as such: with the polish of a princess and the heart of a gypsy, she fantasizes about a life less structured, about sunsets unseen and deserts in the distance. Front row sightings: Sarah Jessica Parker, Oscar de la Renta, Andy Cohen, Barry Diller, Nicki Hilton.
To complement the look, Orlando Pita worked with the model's natural hair texture to enhance their natural beauty. "The look here is to make the girls beautiful with what they have. So we're enhancing their gifts of beauty," he told us. To get the look, he used Phyto hair products. "The Phyto line is great because it's such a nice range of products that can be used on many different hair types. Some are having wavy messy hair. Some are having smooth hair. Some are having bobs. It's whatever looks best on the girl," he said. His favorite of the Phyto hair product line: "The Phytolisse is a serum that makes you hair smooth, makes the cuticle very smooth. It's a sealant. It protects the hair," he explained.
