Heidi Klum's Project Runway Season 10 Spring 2013 Fashion Show
Heidi Klum and fellow Project Runway judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, along with front row supporters Jennifer Hudson and Debra Messing, watched the eight finalists of Season 10 present their own 10-piece Spring 2013 collections at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Spoiler alert: You'll see these fashions before they are revealed on the show, which airs on Thursdays on Lifetime. "They are all very very good," said Heidi Klum before introducing the first designer, Gunnar Deatheredge, to start the show. "I was inspired by the Aborigines and these African tribes and I hope these designs take you to the exotic places it took me," said Deatheredge. Other finalists also shared their inspirations before revealing their hard work. "My collection is very personal and it really reflects the passion that I have for what I do," said finalist Ven Budhu. "I made my collection based on the idea of bold, strong, confident women," explained finalist Sonjia Williams. "I was very inspired by deconstruction and reconstruction," said Christopher Palu. "The inspiration for my collection is the photographer Vera Verser. She has a unique way of combining the absurd and surreal," said Melissa Fleis. It was certainly a very emotional event for all of the finalists. "I poured my heart and my soul into this collection and I hope you love it as much as I do," says Dmitry Sholokhov The reaction from the front row? "There are several pieces that I'm dying for," enthused actress Debra Messing. "It was great," says said Jennifer Hudson, who will be a guest judge on the season finale which airs October 18th on Lifetime.
