Spring Fashion Trends: Diane Von Furstenberg, Wes Gordon, Reem Acra, Alice & Olivia
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has been a whirlwind week of top editors, celebrities and trendsetters sounding off on the Spring 2013 collections. "What's so great about this collection is the fact that it is all so positive. I really love those beautiful colored silks and those big baggy trousers. I thought that was really pretty," says Glenda Bailey, Editor-in-Chief, Harper's Bazaar, of Diane Von Furstenberg's spring 2013 fashion show.
Designer Wes Gordon also received rave reviews. "I approached spring thinking how can I love spring as much as I love fall? And I incorporated a lot of the things I love about fall. It's darkly ethereal. It's a spring palette and a spring weight of fabrics but will a little darkness and a lot of fall textures," he told us backstage.
Other celebrities to chime in on their tastes: "I like Reem's designs. I was particularly interested in seeing some of the gowns. Without a doubt, dresses are back," says actress Fran Drescher of Reem Acra's seriously seductive Spring 2013 fashion show.
And course, Alice & Olivia designer Stacey Bendet always has a slew of starlets pining for her latest frocks. "I'm a big fan of Stacy's designs. I've worn them for a long time. I just love this collection because it's called American Dream. It's been really fun and has everything that I love," said Real Housewife, Kelly Killoren Bensimon.
