The Big Bang Theory spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe coming July to HBO Max with theme music by Danny Elfman
A new The Big Bang Theory spinoff, Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, is slated to debut in July 2026 on Max. The comedy centers on comic book shop owner Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman), who accidentally triggers a multiverse-threatening crisis and is forced to clean up the chaos. He’s joined by Denise (Lauren Lapkus), Bert (Brian Posehn), and Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie), forming an unlikely team racing to stop reality from unraveling. Blending the franchise’s signature humor with higher-stakes sci-fi, the series features a score by Danny Elfman, signaling a more cinematic twist on the familiar universe.

Nedra Talley Ross, last surviving member of The Ronettes, passes at 80
Nedra Talley Ross, the last surviving original member of The Ronettes, has died at 80. Her daughter said she passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family. A founding member of the trio alongside her cousins Ronnie Spector and Estelle Bennett, Talley helped define the sound and style of 1960s pop. The group rose to fame with hits like “Be My Baby,” “Baby, I Love You,” and “Walking in the Rain,” becoming one of the era’s most influential girl groups. Known for their signature beehive hairstyles and bold image, the Ronettes left a lasting cultural imprint and influenced later artists including Amy Winehouse. After opening for The Beatles on their 1966 tour, the group disbanded in 1967. Talley later stepped away from mainstream music, focusing on Christian music and eventually working outside the industry. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007 with her bandmates. Talley is survived by her four children and grandchildren.

Helena Bonham Carter exits The White Lotus season 4, role being recast
Helena Bonham Carter has exited Season 4 of The White Lotus just days into production in France. HBO confirmed her departure from the Mike White–created series, noting that the role will be recast rather than rewritten. The early exit marks a notable shakeup for the new season, which recently began filming along the French Riviera. Bonham Carter had been set to join an expansive ensemble that reportedly includes Vincent Cassel, Steve Coogan, Kumail Nanjiani, Heather Graham, Rosie Perez, Max Greenfield, Chloe Bennet, and Chris Messina, among others. Her sudden departure raises questions about how the production will adjust as filming continues.
