Dogsledding
Dogsledding dates back 4,000 years and you can still do it today. Book a tour at the “sled dog capital of the country” at Wintergreen Dogsled Lodge in Ely, Minnesota or in other states like Maine and Montana.
Join an Ice Hockey Team
If you are looking for a team sport turn to a hockey league. There are several amateur hockey associations around the country to get involved with. Find one here.
Rent a Snowmobile
The cold weather jet ski of land is a way to get some high-speed fun in the winter months. There are over 1.1 million registered snowmobiles in the U.S. so tons to rent and trails from Vermont to Colorado. Find one to rent by you here.
Take the Polar Bear Plunge
