Emily Saliers and Amy Ray of the beloved folk-rock duo Indigo Girls hit the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of their documentary, It's Only Life After All, in New York City last week. We chatted with them and director Alexandria Bombach about what fans can expect from the film.

It's not your normal bio-pic,” said Saliers. “It’s not A-Z of our lives…it digs into a lot of issues and really talks about our fan community.”

The doc is unveiled through never-before-seen archival footage and frank conversation, the stories behind the band’s 35 years and 15 million records sold, including their personal struggles, incessant dismissal by music critics, and devotion to LGBTQ+ and Indigenous rights.
