Artist to Watch: Grace Weber

LM caught up with Brooklyn based up-and-comer, Grace Weber , to chat about the release of her debut album; Hope & Heart, her Midwestern roots and more.

'We have a little bit of the pop thing going on in a lot of our upbeat stuff and in the slower stuff, we bring out a bit more gospel soul feel,' says Weber.

The Milwaukee born artist grew up singing in a gospel choir -which definitely comes through in her music but Weber describes her sound as a mixture of pop, indie and soul.

So who are her musical influences?

'I grew up listening to people like, Etta James, Billie Holiday and actually a lot of Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men,' Weber said.

Grace is making a name for herself in the music industry; she was recently featured in Billboard Magazine as a spotlight 'artist to watch.'

'The part of my sound that I like the most is sort of this singer-songwriter element that we have in everything' she says.
