Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs met while studying at the Parsons School of Design, officially joined forces in 2009 and were showing at NYFW two years later. The result has been a powerhouse brand that A-listers such as Michelle Obama, Beyonce and Eva Longoria gravitate toward.
Bodycon fit, colorful hues and a supreme mastery of cutouts define their signature look. We spoke to some celebrities at the show (and the designers themselves!).
"The color palettes that they use are exquisite. They work for every skin tone." Jamie King, Actress and Model
"We were looking at Louise Brooks from the 1920s and imagining her on the circus road tour so there's there are plays on stripes and ruffles."
Carly Cushnie, Designer
"That liquid-y silver dress. You'll have a great night!" Michelle Ochs, Designer
"Going-out makeup. It's very groomed, it's very finished. It's all about a perfectly drawn brow. It's how every girl wants to look on the red carpet or when she goes out or when she's on a first date."
Val Garland, Makeup Artist

The business-savvy designer worked for nearly ten years in both corporate and agency environments before establishing her label in 2002. The likes of Eva Longoria, Sarah Hyland and Emmy Rossum are frequently seen rocking her feminine, elegant gowns on the red carpet. This season the designer shied away from ruffles (a common theme) altogether, sticking to a supersleek silhouette.
"I just think the dresses are very elegant, they're always beautiful. You can wear them for any occasion."
Paris Hilton
"Really sleek. There are no ruffles in this one at all. It's really more my style, I like sleek, clean lines."
Pamella Roland, Designer
"She finds different ways to add color and patterns and textures to add something to the classic silhouettes and make it different."
Katherine McNamara, Actress
"There is something very timeless about it. Some of her pieces are very old hollywood like this one I'm wearing is very timeless and I recently wore something else by her and I just love her looks."
Willow Shields, Actress
