As if winning the Israeli version of "Project Runway" isn't exciting enough, young Alon Livne' began designing for Beyonc! Now, he presents for the first time at fashion week and the result is something to sing about.
"The inspiration was 80s and 90s but in a futuristic way a little bit science fiction," explains the rising talent.
The models look like they strutted off a space ship with metallic - sometimes three dimensional - detailing on their clothes. The electric palette makes you want to beam your way to spring: hot pinks, purple and blue. Paris Hilton reaches for the checkbook.
"Literally every single piece that came down the runway I was like I need that, I need that. I loved everything. I was so impressed," gushes the fashionista.
High slits might be hard to imagine in real life but they add lots of sizzle to the show. Performer, Natalia Kills is in the front row getting inspiration from wild touches like blue patent leather patches.
"In my last two music videos Problem and Saturday Night I wore various pieces from different collections. So, I had no idea that I'd actually get to come to the show and see what's next. Get some inspiration and see what I'm going to wear next for my next music video, " she says.
The hair is out of this world.
"The look today is it's basically a girl from the future, something that is a bit more futuristic. So, we came up with this idea of doing a braid ... a very central thick braid ... through the middle and two small braids on either side," says Nick Irwin, hair stylist.
The makeup on the girls is sure not to compete with the colorful collection but rather compliment it.
"We wanted a no makeup, makeup look which is very nude. And he wanted to create something that was kind of very futuristic but very real," explains make-up artist Rogelio Reyna.
"With this collection I just wanted to make something very colorful, very happy, very bright," says Livne.
Mission accomplished.
