NYFW Spring 2015: The Dress Delivers

This Spring the frock rocks and trumps all other trends

The dress is having great success at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week for Spring 2015. Actress Garcelle Beauvais swoons over Pamella Roland's flowy florals.

"I love this woman. I love the designs. I love that she makes beautiful dresses," she says.

Inspired by Roland's time spent living in Japan, big skirts make a big impact.

"The inspiration is the Zen gardens of Kyoto. The fabrics are amazing," says Roland.

The red carpet looks keep coming at Jenny Packham, with dresses suited for a duchess and slinky pink numbers, too. Roxy Olin, in the front row, is a fan of the designer's old Hollywood glamour gowns.

"Very elegant, beautiful. I think she has some of the most elegant designs," says Olin.

Her fashion co-pilot Whitney Port is all about the dressy details, such as metallic feathers and appliqu.

"Her clothes are just always so beautifully intricate. The beading is always so pretty...there's always so much great detail," she says.

From the ladies to the gentlemen...design duo Bagdley Mischka proves once again that they know how to flatter the details of a woman's body.

"I've always loved them. I've loved their work for so very long," says actress Anika Noni Rose.

Pastel chiffon dresses dust the floor for Spring -- it was a a clean sweep for Katrina Bowden, loving the looks across the board.

"They always make me feel so beautiful and elegant and sexy," says Bowden.

"We really focused on keeping the fabrics and garments really super light, even though there is a lot of volume in some of those pieces," explains James Mischka.

The real Spring showstoppers for 2015 are on the Zang Toi runway...including edgy black tiered dresses dripping in orchids. Whoopi Goldberg is not joking when she says:

"Stunningly beautiful. Flowy and beautiful."

Photographer Nigel Barker encourages ladies to focus on a special dress for Spring.

"High energy, beautiful gowns, red carpet, celebrity. It's every girl's dream to be dressed by Zang. He never fails to deliver."
