New York-based fashion designer took inspiration from female artists Augusta Savage and Simone Leigh

The Spring Summer 2024 collection by Bibhu Mohapatra is inspired by female artists and sculptors Augusta Savage and Simone Leigh with one goal — to empower women. He does this with asymmetrical dresses, draping, form-fitting, and strong silhouettes with faint embroidery detailing from the artists’ work. There was lots of fringe, cutouts, and crystal embellishment too. Modern, feminine, strong, all the buzzwords in fashion come 2024.
