Drawing inspiration from Italian directors such as Luchino Visconti and his film Death in Venice, thesalting creative directors Michael Ward and Manel Garcia Espejo named their Spring 2025 collection IL MARE, translated to “the sea.” We spoke with the married duo at New York Men’s Day at Location05/Daylight Studio, where they showcased their nautical-influenced designs with Italian fabrics in caftans and ultra wide trousers, with each model in hand-woven straw hats made in Ecuador in two colors also launching this season.
