Yigal Azrouel: Less is More, NYFW Fall 2014

Yigal Azrouel uses collage, texture and pleats as big elements but goes understated with his beauty message

Yigal Azrul is hot, hot, hot. Katie Lee Joel - ex of Billy - is one of his biggest fans and he seems to have plenty of them. He packs the house for his fall show and sends the message of simplicity from clothing to hair.

"There is a trend with girls growing their hair out. Last season a lot of girls had bobs. Now, we are in the growing it out phase. We have a lot of mid lengths, says James Pecis hairstylist.

From short and shaggy to pinned back, Glenda Bailey of Harper's Bazaar also notices the shift in locks.

"Very simple hair so far. That lovely low ponytail which looks great on anybody with long hair," she says.

Azrouel's clothes have a lot of texture - big, cozy mohair sweaters and nubby boucl but no extra layers anything when it comes to fall's face.

"I'm seeing a lot of this tonal idea. Kind of this tonal idea, neutrals , taupe, sculpting but all done in a very seamless way so it doesn't feel obvious or feel too cosmetic," says Yadim, Makeup Artist.

If there is one beauty trend to take to the bank from fashion week it's doing up your nails! They are now as important an accessory as a handbag or shoes.

"So the nail look is very deep dark seductive and the color goes very well with the collection. It kind of just enhances it," says Gina Edwards Manicurist for Morgan Taylor.
