New study from Allergan finds that many irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C) and chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) sufferers are going undiagnosed. In fact, 2-in-5 IBS-C sufferers and 3-in-5 CIC sufferers never seek medical care and continue self-treatment, primarily with over-the-counter medications. Those who have seen a healthcare provider usually wait two years to seek care, delaying until symptoms become very bothersome.

In honor of IBS Awareness Month this April, Dr. Jack Braha and patient Blanca Escarcega joined us to talk about these conditions and educate us on the signs, so those suffering can get the right treatment as soon as possible.
