Take it from a licensed contractor: you don't need to break out the tool box to break out of your bathroom rut. Home Improvement Expert Brian Kelsey says solutions from Dove Men+Care and Cold-EEZE can groom you for a season full of happy, healthy, good hair days, but first, you have to get around to grooming your bathroom space.
"The very first thing you need to do is evaluate the space you have and how you're using it," says Brian. And it's the ladies who are lording over the bathroom, according to a survey by Dove Men+Care that revealed guys are relegated to using just a third of the total bathroom space, with 87 percent of men confessing they've reached for their partner's products in the shower instead of making room for products of their own.
Dove Men+Care Hair, maker of hair care products specifically formulated for men, is joining the effort to help guys rule their bathrooms -- or at least reclaim some of their space. "They've launched the "Hair to the Throne" contest," says Brian, "You can go to dovemencare.com to enter for a chance to win a complete bathroom makeover, plus a bunch of products to fill it with."
Brian adds, "Once you've cleaned your space, it's time to decide what else you need in it. Now, this is a must-have this winter for men and women: it's the new Cold-EEZE Cold Remedy Plus Natural Multi-Symptom Relief Cold and Flu QuickMelts." The "quick" of it comes from zinc gluconate to shorten the duration of a cold; plus, elderberry, peppermint and licorice chip in to relieve cold and flu symptoms like cough, chest congestion and sore throat. "You can take them at the very first sign of a cold and you're good to go," says Brian.
But don't restock your bathroom until you've taken time to throw things out. "You know, it's amazing how many things you can collect in there that you really don't need or don't realize are probably out of date," says Brian, "So check the expiration date, toss it if it's expired."
Brian explains, "From there, we've got a whole new space now; we can clear things out, everything's got a place, maybe we'll paint...but we just used no tools and created a whole new space in the bathroom."
