It's National Grilling Month!
July is National Grilling Month (and National Ice Cream Month!) to celebrate why not throw a summer bash? SHAPE Magazine's editor-at-large, Bahar Takhtehchian has the ingredients to pull off the perfect party.
Fire up the BBQ and surprise your party peeps by throwing a pizza on the grill! Bahar says, "If you want to mix it up, why not make grilled pizza?"
Bahar likes to bust out Pillsbury(R) Pizza Crust (spot it in your grocery store's refrigerated section). "The great thing about grilled pizza" says Bahar, "is you can add literally any of your favorite toppings to put a twist on the dish and make it your own."
Bahar's fav? Sausage and pepper pizza! To make: roll out pizza dough into a rectangle and throw it on the grill! Then add pizza sauce, basil, cheese, red peppers and your grilled sausage to the top. Presto! A party pleasing pizza packed with flavor.
To hold over hungry guests turn to the ultimate summer party staple-- chips and dip! However, "Not all chips are created equal!" says Bahar, "look out for chips made with simple ingredients like Tostitos(R) Original Restaurant Style Tortilla Chips." Made with only three ingredients; corn, oils and salt!
They're perfect to pair with a wholesome dip like mango salsa chutney. Yum!
