From the LifeMinute team

Summer is coming and is supposed to usher in a relaxed, laid back lifestyle---but between work, family, and warm weather activities eating breakfast and getting everything done with a new summer routine can be a challenge. Lifestyle expert, Elizabeth Mayhew has some tips, tricks, and must-have advice to make morning routines just a little bit easier.

Starting with breakfast, so many families usually run out the door, many not eating breakfast or grabbing something quick, so they're left unsatisfied or hungry by late morning.

There's a line of breakfast items from Tyson Foods that are a delicious, quick and satisfying way to start the day. Tyson(R) Day Starts(TM) breakfast sandwiches come in a variety of options like flaky croissant-style flatbreads and handmade omelets wrapped in thin, flaky bread and have at least 24% of your daily protein requirement, so they're a great way to keep you full all morning. You can also feel good about these because they're made with real ingredients like real cheeses, zesty vegetables, fresh eggs and Tyson(R) reduced fat sausage, ham and chicken. There's something for everyone in the family so you can take your pick from seven tasty options, like a Southern Style Chicken Biscuit, crispy wrapped omelet and flatbread sandwich.

You can also take these on the go! Just pop them in the microwave and they're ready in less than two minutes. Find them in the freezer aisle at grocery stores nationwide and for more information visit www.TysonDayStarts.com.

Another way to ease your mornings is by planning the night before. Smoothies are another healthy option, and they can be quick. They're also a great way to enjoy seasonal fruit like berries and peaches. Another plus is that you can make these the evening before. Once you've made your desired mix simply pour into a thermos and place in the fridge. In the morning all you have to do is grab your thermos and you're ready to go.

If you're a coffee drinker, prep the coffee machine the previous night so all you need to do is press the "on" button. Better yet, get a machine with a timer that starts itself so you can wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Then just pour in a to-go cup and enjoy on your way out the door.

Preparation is key and it's really important to be prepared the night before. Make sure all lunches are made and you've selected an outfit for the next day. That goes, not just for the kids--but for yourself too. Many women say they can lose 30 minutes trying to find something to wear in the morning. Also, don't forget to check the weather so you are even more prepared. It's the little things that can really make a difference in the morning.

Let the kids help too! Have them make their own beds, be responsible for getting dressed and brushing their teeth. They will get used to these routines and will not only save time in the morning but ultimately teach them good habits.
