If you’re a parent, you know it can be hard sometimes to get your kids to eat healthy foods. With National Kids Day (November 20) and Thanksgiving coming up we’re showing you a sweet treat that’s not only delicious but nutritious too, Wonderful Halos Mandarins. They’re that rare, sweet snack you can indulge in without the guilt, plus they’re super fun to incorporate into craft time with your kids.
They fit perfectly into small hands, they’re sweet, seedless and easy to peel. The best part is it’s a snack you can really feel good about. They have natural energy and are an excellent source of vitamin c, plus they’re a good source of fiber. You can even turn them into a fun family-friendly craft like the Halo Turkey.
Here’s what you’ll need:
-Felt
-Glue
-Scissors
-Googly eyes
-Toothpicks
Instructions:
-Cut a few pieces of felt in the shape of feathers
-Fan them together with some glue
-Cut out a circle for the face, a triangle for the beak and a squiggle shape for the waddle
-Add the googly eyes, beak and feet… and you’ve got a Halos turkey!
