In our harried,fast-paced lives the most important aspect of travel planning is the reassuance that we'll be able to relax--guaranteed--when we reach our desination. Look no further than the Hilton Garden Inn when planning, especially for the daunting task of organizing holiday travel. You goal should be to plan in advance for a seamless, drama-free trip. "Just because they're my family doesn't mean I have to stay with them!" says travel expert Lisa Niver.

"I can highly recommend to you the Hilton Garden Inn. The thing I really like about it is the Satisfaction Promise. If you're not happy they're going to work with you, guaranteed. If you're not happy you're not going to pay. So you can take your family or go there on business and have an affordable vacation," she says.

Now that your time away is guaranteed, take it! Americans use only 10 or 14 vacation days per year; we need to make them count. So ask the local experts for recommendations. What is the must-see local scenery?

Says Niver: "When you're staying somewhere people always ask me, 'what should I do?' So what I recommend is asking the people at the front desk. 'Where do you go to dinner, is there something new at the museum?' Maybe you want to go and see the best local sporting game. So with your free wireless from the hotel you can go online to the Tourism Board and find out everything that's going on in the city.

If you're staying someplace, like I was just in Yellowstone National Park, be sure you talk to the Rangers and find out: What time is Old Faithful actually going to do it's thing? Because if you go there and it doesn't do it, it's not the same."

The same goes for downtime. Remember that you need some time to yourself, even on vacation. Eat, relax and play to satisfy yourself, not make the other members of your group happy. Niver agrees. "The other thing that makes me feel really taken care of on vacation? I love the cooked to order breakfast. So I can go the Hilton Garden Inn, I can go downstairs and have my cooked to order breakfast. And the rest of the group? They can make their own choices. They can have the in-room Keurig coffeemaker, they can fill up the mini-fridge from the Pavillion Pantry, they can use the microwave. Maybe while I'm at the Fitness Center they're at the pool. Everybody can find what makes them the most happy for their vacation so we call go home feeling refreshed and renewed."
