For the Bake Some Good campaign, six bakers will bake continuously for 100 days. What's their inspiration? "I was talking to all of them, and the beautiful thing is that they want to appreciate the under appreciated. They want to say thank you to people who don't hear those words often enough by giving them these goods. To celebrate the good in this world whether it's big or small," says actress Vanessa Lachey, who has her own bun in the oven.
One of the bakers, Cherise Ragland, is thrilled for the opportunity to take advantage of the kitchen and fresh Nestlé Toll House ingredients. "When I first heard about this campaign it was a no brainier for me. I was all in because it embodies so many of the things I'm passionate about, things that I'm already doing. Who wouldn't want to lock arms with such an amazing company like Nestlé? It's such a trusted brand. I'm all in!"
Delicious Diversity
"The bakers come from such diverse backgrounds," says Lachey. " There's a hostage negotiator. One of the women started her own non-profit organization and directed a kids' cooking show. I think it's just amazing to see such a diverse group of people coming together for such a good cause and that is to bake a difference in this world. Literally one sweet baked good at a time."
An Extra Dozen
Lachey and Nestlé are hoping to inspire you to get involved. "Next time you're in your kitchen baking with your family, or by yourself, make that extra dozen and give it to someone in your community who isn't expecting it and put a smile on their face and inspire them to do the same," she says.
