The Forgiven stars Jessica Chastain, Christopher Abbott, Abbey Lee, and Mourad Zaoui came out for the film’s Tribeca Film Festival Premiere in New York City on Tuesday night.
In the thriller based on the novel by Lawrence Osborne, David (Ralph Fiennes) and Jo (Jessica Chastain) are a couple on the edge of divorce, taking a vacation to Morocco to save their marriage. When an already tense time takes a turn for the worse after they accidentally hit and kill a young boy, they are each forced to come to terms with their vices.
We chatted with the leading lady, Chastain, about her privileged character and how the Oscar winner discerns which roles to take on.
