Deftones Unleash New Album 'Koi No Yokan'
Sacramento's alt-metal giants Deftones are currently touring their latest full-length, the pre-holiday release Koi No Yokan (Japanese for "love at first sight".) We sat down with Frank Delgado (keyboards, samples) and bassist Sergio Vega.
The guys sound raring to go as they kick off a multi-year tour schedule, giving credit to line-up changes for the sense they have of "a new body, a new entity, a new way of thinking." Frank told us how they bring their eclectic influences (Saturday Night Fever, anyone?) on the road -- their backstage soundtrack keeps their creative juices flowing, and they're "always wanting to feed off a new music, it's inspiring no matter what genre it is." Another way to pass the time between shows? Signing fan's babies. True.
