Indie-Pop Duo, Pacific Air Release New Album, New Video, and a New Name
Brothers Ryan and Taylor Lawhon, formerly the band KO KO, are out with their new EP, Long Live Ko Ko, best described as indie pop, atmospheric, surf.
Ryan says, "I've never been happier with anything artistically that we've done."
The brother's have never written a song in the same room together, it's just the way they work. One will come in to lay down the melody and then the other takes over and adds the lyrics. It's a great 50/50 work ethic.
They also just finished shooting their new video for "Float." "We wanted the video to be a photo shoot with moving pictures. We kind of been so quintessential southern California. So it's actually shot in a mini mansion in Beverly Hills with like thirty models. It's exactly what you would expect...we didn't want to disappoint," says Ryan.
And in their spare time, while on the road, they've picked up bowling. Ryan even got his own bowling ball.
"We're bored on tour during the day so we go bowling. Everywhere there are bowling alleys and they're always pretty empty and cheap."
The indie-pop duo will soon be back on tour to promote their new album due out May 14th.
