Add one "F" plus three "O's," throw in some high-energy pop music and wild backflips, and what you get is the Swedish boy band comprised of Felix Sandman, O.G. Molander, Omar Rudberg and Oscar Enestad, a.k.a. The Fooo Conspiracy.
The group, already the recipient of a MTV European Music Award, is gaining such popularity since landing in the U.S. that it's hard to believe they've only been performing together since 2013, as Felix Sandman explains, "Me, O.G. and Oscar have known each other since we were, like, four years old. And then we went to this audition and then we got picked, and then we met Omar from Venezuela."
Oscar Enestad adds, "And then we just went out on the streets, with a boom box, and we just danced. And we posted a video on You Tube, and then Justin Bieber's management called us and asked if we wanted to be the pre-act."
"It was actually our first gig as The Fooo Conspiracy," says Omar Rudberg, "And it was like, how do I say it? HUGE."
Ever since, life just keeps getting better for The Fooo Conspiracy whose latest EP "Serenade," recently released in the U.S., offers a mix that includes what Enestad describes as "happy songs" and songs you can dance to.
And high-energy dancing may just be what the band does best, though musical multi-tasking has its challenges. "To sing, dance and do flips at the same time...it's a hard thing to do," says Enestad. But it's also what The Fooo Conspiracy loves to do, says Sandman, "We want to involve, like, all the people that's there to watch us. We want to get energetic, we want to jump around, we want to take over the place." Adds Enestad, "That's why we always push ourselves to be the greatest and [are] always trying to top ourselves."
What's next for The Fooo Conspiracy? Says Enestad, "We're going to be shooting videos, recording new songs and stuff, and we're going to release them, like, [early this year]."
In the meantime, the best way to keep up with the busy boy band is through social media. Find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, or look them up on YouTube (The Fooo Music) or on TheFooo.com.
