A LifeMinute with Colbie Caillat

We caught up with the "Bubbly" singer, Colbie Caillat, backstage at the Badgley Mischka show, looking effortlessly chic in Mark and James. She dished about out her beauty and style must-haves and what to expect from her highly anticipated fifth album--we can't wait!

What have you been up to lately?

Colbie Caillat: I'm writing for my new album right now--there's already a ton of songs, about thirty-something!

Will the new record still have your signature sound?

CC: I want to make a classic rock record, but obviously the new style, which is a mix of Simon and Garfunkel with Crosby, Stills & Nash with The Lumineers. Yes, that the direction I'm going.

Who would you LOVE to collaborate with?

CC: Coldplay. Coldplay would be amazing. I love them. I love their music.

What do you like to do for fun?

CC: Hiking with my dog, my friends.

What are your beauty obsessions?

CC: I always love lip gloss, but it has to be dewy kind of look.

Have any fashion favorites?

CC: I like bright colors that are very matchy. For example, at the last event, I wore a bright yellow dress with matching yellow heels. Stuff like that is kind of fun.
