Deacon Blue - The Great Western Road
The Scottish pop-rock band Deacon Blue formed in Glasgow in 1985. The band's lineup consists of vocalists Ricky Ross and Lorraine McIntosh, keyboard player James Prime, drummer Dougie Vipond, guitarist Gregor Philp, and bassist Lewis Gordon. The group celebrates 40 years of "soaring melodies and reflective lyrics" on their new record, The Great Western Road.

Japanese Breakfast - For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)
Philadelphia-native indie pop group Japanese Breakfast unveils their fourth studio album, For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women), under Dead Oceans. The band is fronted by vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter Michelle Zauner, alongside Peter Bradley (guitar), Deven Craige (bass), and Craig Hendrix (drums, keyboards, backing vocals). For the Grammy-nominated group’s latest offering, they examine melancholy, as Zauner describes it as “pensive, anticipatory grief about the passage of time” rather than a “violent sadness or longing or heartbreak.”

My Morning Jacket - is
American rock band, My Morning Jacket, formed in Louisville, Kentucky, releases their 10th studio album, is. The group’s frontman, Jim James, says the new record is more of the same sound they became known for. Although the “rootsy eclecticism and soft-but-chunky ‘70s rock” tone is present, the approach was different because they hired outside producer Brendan O’Brien, who added a new, relaxed approach to music making.

Ryan Hurd - Midwest Rock & Roll
Michigan-raised country singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd releases his sophomore album, Midwest Rock & Roll. The singer-songwriter, now residing in Nashville, has penned songs for Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, Florida Georgia Line, and Blake Shelton. He calls his new 12-track record “something of a coming-of-age album” with heartfelt themes of love and loss following his 2023 divorce from country star Maren Morris.
