I recently had the rare opportunity to see this young superstar in a small venue, private performance. Being sorely out of the age bracket, I realized I would not comprehend the full value of the experience unless in the company of die-hard fans. Thus, I took my son and his girlfriend, both four-years-old.

After their experimental period of Zooropa and Pop, many saw U2's last two albums as a return to true rock band form. And No Line is very much about returning to the experimentation and taking chances again, much in the way they did with The Unforgettable Fire. One definitely gets the feeling they were trying to recreate Fire with moody numbers like "White As Snow" and "Cedars Of Lebanon".
