Netflix drops America’s Next Top Model documentary trailer
The first look at Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model has arrived. Netflix has released the trailer for the upcoming three-part documentary that revisits the iconic reality series. Created by Tyra Banks and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, America’s Next Top Model ran for 24 seasons from 2003 to 2016. What began as a glamorous launchpad for aspiring models quickly evolved into a pop-culture juggernaut—one fueled by explosive drama, unforgettable meltdowns, and controversies that continue to spark viral conversations today. Reality Check takes a closer look at the show’s complicated legacy through candid interviews with former contestants, judges, and producers, including J. Alexander, Jay Manuel, Nigel Barker, and of course, Tyra Banks herself. Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model premieres February 16 on Netflix.
Kanye West apologizes for antisemitic remarks in Wall Street Journal open letter
Kanye West has issued a public apology for his past antisemitic remarks in a 750-word open letter published as a paid advertisement in The Wall Street Journal. The rapper and fashion designer acknowledged the harm caused by his “outlandish behavior” and expressed remorse for the pain inflicted on the Jewish community. West attributed his actions to undiagnosed brain damage from a 2002 car accident and untreated bipolar I disorder, claiming damage to his right frontal lobe went unnoticed for 25 years. He said this medical oversight contributed to manic episodes during which he lost touch with reality. Released a day before International Holocaust Remembrance Day, the letter marks West’s latest attempt to address the fallout from controversial statements that triggered widespread backlash, ended major business partnerships, and renewed debates over accountability, free speech, and hate in the public sphere.
