Tyra Banks, Cher, Kate Moss, Bella Hadid and more stun at the 2024 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
The iconic Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is officially back and entering a new era after closing out its successful runway show on Tuesday night. K-pop megastar Lisa kicked off the show with a performance of her hit song “Rockstar” while sporting a black bedazzled two-piece set. Model Gigi Hadid was the first to strut down the runway, showing off a magnificent pair of the brand’s iconic angel wings. Hadid was followed by a lineup of iconic models, featuring appearances by sister Bella Hadid, Victoria’s Secret legend Adriana Lima, Alex Consani, Barbara Palvin, and a show stopping surprise appearance by model Kate Moss. The show was closed out with an energetic performance by pop icon Cher and a final catwalk strut by Tyra Banks, who came out of her near two decades of retirement to bring a flawless end to the show after its years long hiatus.
Cover artwork for fifth Hunger Games novel Sunrise on the Reaping revealed
The novel will be the fifth installment of author Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games series and its second prequel, set 24 years before the events of the first book. Revealed exclusively on the Today Show and crafted by illustrator Tim O’Brien, who also created the covers for the other four books, the cover artwork features an image of a snake linked to a songbird, which represents “how conflicting forces can be connected by their common nature” according to Scholastic publisher and editorial director, David Levithan. Sunrise on the Reaping is set to publish in March of next year.
Kendrick Lamar wins big at the 2024 BET Hip Hop awards, taking home 8 of his 11 nominations
The award show, which was pre taped on October 8 and aired Tuesday night, was hosted by rapper Fat Joe and featured performances by 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy with Roscoe Dash, Big Boogie featuring GloRilla, and more. Kendrick Lamar walked away the big winner, earning 8 awards of his 11 nominations, including wins for Best Hip-Hop Video, Lyricist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Hip-Hop Artist of the Year. Other winners included Nicki Minaj for Hip-Hop Album of the Year, Sexyy Red for Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artist, Missy Elliott for Best Live Performer, and 50 Cent for Hustler of the Year.
