Cynthia Erivo collaborates on a new song for Wicked sequel

It’s confirmed Wicked: For Good will have two original numbers, one of them co-written by Cynthia Erivo and Stephen Schwartz. No title of the song has been shared yet, but in a recent interview with Variety, Erivo explained, “When we filmed it, the entire crew was in tears. I hope audiences are ready — it’s a song that speaks to the heart of who Elphaba is.” The sequel is set to premiere in theaters November 21, 2025.

Downton Abbey 3 film will include tribute to Maggie Smith

It was a devastating loss to Downton Abbey fans when Maggie Smith died in September, but executive producer Gareth Neame says he will include a tribute to the Countess character and Smith herself in the third film due to come out next September. Smith starred in both the TV series and movies, with the Countess character dying at the end of Downton Abbey: A New Era. Along with her many accolades she won three Primetime Emmys and a Golden Globe for her performances in the TV series.
